10 Things NOT to do in London

1. Evitate Camden Town on Saturday... I understand that once in London can be attacked dall'irrefrenabile temptation to go and see what happens in the popular district of Camden Town to check for yourself if all this noise about its particularity has a solid foundation. However, you are seriously convinced of being able to see something with thousands of people around you, or more realistically you will be busy dodging hordes of tourists and vendors who throw themselves on him clutching your bag to avoid being ripped off?

Camden does not move during the week and 'always in the same place, as well as its shops, food stalls and clothes and his clothes in ways typical characters a bit' weird. It 's definitely a place to visit, but during a weekday in order to truly enjoy its attractions.

2. Evitate to buy tickets for the metro. ... Invest more in the Oyster card! Even if you are just passing through and do not have much planned to move within the city, do not spend money buying expensive tickets for metro and buses, not worth it. Buy an Oyster card and opt for daily and weekly, or load the card with the mechanism pay as you go. The Oyster card and 'always a safety and has an unlimited life so you can reuse it the next time you come back to London and even consume the remaining balance of the previous visit, if not sold out.

3. Do not turn alone at night in King's cross ... I realize that the majority of hostels and cheap hotels are located in this area due to the main station, but 'strongly advised not to wander around alone at night in this area. Suffering or not from this area and thrill 'very dangerous and many friends' happened to be seen pointing a knife to her face to be cleaned up later.

4. DON'T do not and still do not exit in the evening in downtown areas! Avoid Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square! These famous downtown areas are well-known tourist traps. If your goal is' to go out and be surrounded by Italians, assaulted by sellers of false offers (£ 10 ticket with drink included) to enter the premises where you will be completely empty, however, forced to consume this fateful and costly consumption in order to exit, then these sites are for you. If, as I hope and believe, you are going to see how people really having fun in London, go to the East, where there are hundreds of venues to suit all tastes and no one forces you to pay anything. It's up to you!

5. Do not go on ... Coach tickets at exorbitant prices to be forced to breathe polluted air and see very little of London. You'd better get on normal buses, pay a paltry ticket, up to the second floor, enjoy the heat and enjoy the view in peace being able to decide when you get off and what to visit in more depth.

6. Mai stand on the left side of the escalators ... unless your intention is not to make irritate an Englishman in a suit and tie carrying case fitted with 24h and be shoved or hear snorting behind you. If you're not going to walk sull'escalator keep to the right because the left side and 'exclusively reserved for people who are in a hurry. If your fault someone loses train expect dirty looks and insults until the next meter.

7. Evitate to shop the usual Oxford Street and Regent Street ... you will not find anything special in these ways that can not be found anywhere else. If you suffer from claustrophobia avoid the crowded sidewalks of these streets and opt for something more special and distinctive, like vintage shops and flea markets that certainly does not lack in London. It should be the exception to the Apple Store which is located on Regent Street, where you can use the computer for free using free wifi. It can be very useful whatever your goal, update your Facebook profile or communicate with someone in case of emergency.

8. Evitate to carry credit cards with you when you go out if possible ... especially if you go in the busy downtown areas which are as full of tourists as expert pickpockets. Try to only bring cash money and leave your travel documents at home or in a hotel. And again, do not make payments with credit cards in local and be very careful to cover with your hands while inserting the pin. True story that happened last year personally, for my carelessness and inattention, has anyone seen my pin and I pulled his wallet out of the bag, emptying my card accordingly. Luckily living here and having a credit card English I am covered by insurance and got back the money back. However, the time and health to lost disorganized Italian Consulate in London to recover the documents, I do not indemnify them none.

9. Do not going to eat in the usual Fast Food ... highlights of the false belief that English food is not edible; meat, cheeses and desserts are yummy English. Rather go to eat in a pub and enjoy a great sunday roast or steak pie one. As an alternative, you can find excellent restaurants of all kinds; Indian, Turkish, Japanese, Brazilian, etc.

10. Do not pay to visit museums ... most of the museums in London are free, and there 'no reason to spend money to visit Tower Bridge or Madame Tussauds when you can enjoy free exhibitions exhibited in major galleries and museums in the city. Among the museums have free, Tate Modern, the National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, British Museum, Tate Gallery, National Maritime Museum and National Portrait Gallery.
